(Patria) - After the meeting of coalition partners in Konjic, Dragan Čović, president of HDZ BiH, addressed the media first.
"Today we had a demanding atmosphere because we reviewed all the problems of this partnership of ours at the BiH level, and we also mentioned the FBiH. This was a more than useful meeting due to the atmosphere in recent days and I think the meeting achieved progress".
He added that the Constitutional Court of BiH was not the only topic discussed, but also other issues on the list of 14 priorities for EU accession, including the Constitutional Court of BiH itself.
"These are all topics that should not and must not be avoided. One of them is certainly the appointment of a judge from the FBiH, which has been pending for ten months," says Čović.
He stated that he respects the Dayton Peace Agreement and that he bases his actions on it.
"Each of us would organize BiH differently, but there is the Dayton Agreement, which I respect. I think that, aware of all the differences, we should do what we think we can agree on, in the interest of BiH, as soon as possible," says Čović.
He also added that he believes foreigners have no place in the Constitutional Court of BiH and that, if BiH wants to join the European Union, foreigners cannot be members of judicial institutions, and that he absolutely supports their removal.
In a lengthy address to the media, SNSD president Milorad Dodik said he would not withdraw the Law on Non-application of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
He said that BiH will never get property and that there is consensus in RS regarding this.
"We need some issues important for the EU path to consider. So we agreed that a commission would work on drafting the Election Law. To work on the 14 priorities by October. These 14 priorities include very difficult things for RS. But it is also requested that foreign judges be removed from the Constitutional Court of BiH," said Dodik.
He lashed out at the international community, mocked US and UK sanctions, and said that "foreigners cannot dictate how we will live".
"These assholes, these foreigners, cannot dictate to us. I don't want to be a fool from their books," he said.
Speaking about sanctions, he said they only strengthen his ego and political power.
"If Šmit makes a decision, it will not be applicable. Only the people in RS can remove me. I have decided to run in the next elections, and that will be an opportunity for them to remove me," he said.
He said that he reported himself to the BiH Prosecutor's Office because no one in the FBiH has the courage to report him. When asked if he would respond to a summons if called, he said he would.
"I will as soon as they call me. Now I will organize for everyone to report to the BiH Prosecutor's Office. I am going into the process, I am not protecting myself. BiH does not have the strength to apply any law, but RS has the strength to apply it. I have neither plan A nor plan B. I only ask that RS be respected," said Dodik.
