(Patria) - After more than a year absence from football fields due to injury, Brazilian star Neymar will play again tomorrow.
His Saudi club Al-Hilal plays the Asian Champions League at 6 PM, away in the United Arab Emirates against Al-Ain, reports Sportklub.
"I know you are impatient, and I am too - on October 21st I am returning to football," the 32-year-old Brazilian announced on social media.
Neymar, who joined Al-Hilal in August 2023 from PSG, injured his cruciate ligament and meniscus on October 17 last year with Brazil in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Uruguay. So far, he has played only five matches for the Saudi club.
"I suffer every day when I'm not playing, that's what hurts me the most. I've come back every time I've been injured, but I never come back halfway," the player explained tearfully in a video posted on YouTube yesterday.
The absence of the Brazilian star, reportedly paid around 100 million euros per season, has not affected the results of his new club, which won the national championship for the 19th time last season.
