(Patria) - After Roland Garros and a spectacular final in which Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz defeated Italian Jannik Sinner to defend his title, there were no significant changes at the top of the ATP rankings.
Sinner remains the clear world No. 1 with a 2,000-point lead over second-placed Alcaraz. Alcaraz, who triumphed in Paris last year and again this year, retained his existing points, while Sinner earned an additional 500 points after reaching the semi-finals last June.
As much as Alcaraz trails Sinner, he holds the same margin over third-placed German Alexander Zverev, behind whom there is also a large points gap.
The only major change is American Taylor Fritz dropping three places – from fourth to seventh. As a result, Briton Jack Draper moved up one spot to fourth, Serbian Novak Đoković is now fifth, and Italian Lorenzo Musetti is currently sixth in the world.
The best Bosnian tennis player, Damir Džumhur, advanced two positions and is now ranked 67th in the world.
