
(Patria) - The European Junior Cup, part of the European Judo Union (EJU) and International Judo Federation (IJF) calendars, began today in Ilidža.
The Judo Federation of BiH, as one of the best event organizers and officially the best technical organizer in 2022, will host this two-day competition in the Arena Hills hall in Ilidža.
Nearly 400 competitors from 22 countries, as well as the IJF team, are participating in the first competition organized by the Judo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina this year.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will be represented by 48 competitors - 37 male judokas and 11 female judokas.
A large number of competitors have arrived for this year's edition of the European Junior Cup from Turkey (49), Slovenia (32), Serbia (29), while the IJF team counts a total of 48 judokas.
On the first day of competition, female judokas will compete in the categories -63 kg, -70 kg, -78 kg, and +78 kg, while male competitors will take to the tatami in the categories -60 kg, -66 kg, and -73 kg.
Our federation stated that they are fully prepared for the first competition hosted by our country in this calendar year and believe that the organization will proceed in the best possible order.
