Muzaferija chases points for World Cup super-G final

(Patria) - The women's World Cup downhill race in alpine skiing, scheduled for today, has been cancelled due to fog and unfavourable conditions on the course.

Namely, a prerequisite for holding downhill races as part of the World Cup competition is that at least one official training session is held beforehand.

In the Italian ski centre La Thuile, where the fastest female skiers in the world gathered, including the best Bosnian alpine skier Elvedina Muzaferija, training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday were cancelled, which automatically meant the cancellation of the competition in this discipline.

Due to challenging weather conditions in the coming days, the organisers have made changes that also affect the super-G competition.

Instead of the downhill, the course will be ready today for the first super-G, while the second race in this discipline will be held tomorrow.

In the next two races, Muzaferija enters with great motivation to secure a place among the 25 skiers who will qualify for the World Cup final.

With 23 points, she is currently in 31st place in the discipline standings, announced the PR team of Elvedina Muzaferija.

On the official website of the International Ski Federation (FIS), it is stated that both races will start at 11:00.
