(Patria) - Elvedina Muzaferija, a member of Ski Club "ZE-2010", and Esma Alić, a member of Ski Club "Bjelašnica", will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the team combined event of the Alpine World Ski Championships, held from 4 to 16 February in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria.

The women's team combined event is scheduled for today and is a new discipline added to this competition. It involves a competitor racing in the downhill, a race that will be run by Elvedina Muzaferija, and a race in the slalom discipline, in which Esma Alić will compete.

- This is the first time such a race is being held at the World Championships, and I am very excited to compete as a team. We hope to present Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best light - said Muzaferija, who will be the first to compete in the downhill race, which starts at 10:00 AM.

The slalom race begins at 1:15 PM, and the final ranking will depend on the performance and time of both competitors.

- The team combined event awaits us, and we are glad that we will be the women's team and the first to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at such an event - said Alić, who completed her first training session in Saalbach yesterday, while Muzaferija previously competed in the Super-G and downhill races.

For the best Bosnian alpine skier, this is her fourth World Championship, while Alić participated in this event in 2021.

The BiH representatives invited winter sports enthusiasts to follow the other performances of the BiH team in Saalbach, especially the upcoming races in the women's competition, in which Nikolina Dragoljević, a member of Ski Club "Jahorina", and Ina Likić, a member of Ski Club "Naš tim", will also compete.
