Muzaferija 26th in FIS Europa Cup downhill final race

(Patria) - The final downhill races for women and men of the FIS Europa Cup were held today in Saalbach.

The best Bosnian-Herzegovinian alpine skier Elvedina Muzaferija finished the competition with a time of 1:14.33 in 26th place, which, along with the previous 40 points from the race in Pass Thun, brought her 28th position in the final standings of the discipline with 45 points.

The gold medal in the women's competition was won by Stefanie Grob, while Sandro Manser celebrated in the men's downhill.

Muzaferija will compete in the second final race of the FIS Europa Cup, in the Super-G discipline, tomorrow. The start list and start time of the competition will be known in the afternoon hours.

We remind you that just before the Olympics, Muzaferija competed in a FIS Europa Cup Super-G race, where she took sixteenth place and earned 15 points in the Italian ski resort of Sarntal.

Elvedina is the first Bosnian-Herzegovinian alpine skier to win a medal at the FIS Europa Cup – a silver medal in the downhill discipline in 2023, followed by gold medals in the downhill and Super-G disciplines in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

The last FIS Europa Cup race for women in speed disciplines in the 2025/2026 season will be held tomorrow, while Sunday is reserved for the men's competition, also in the Super-G discipline.
