(Patria) - Bosnian national team player and Benfica footballer Amar Dedić revealed that he received a motivational message from his coach Jose Mourinho before the final playoff match for the World Cup against Italy, which he said deeply touched him, reports Anadolu.
Dedić visited Donja Orahovica near Gračanica yesterday, the place his father comes from.
Locals organized a public welcome for the Bosnian national team player, and a program and gathering with Dedić was organized on the plateau of the Elementary School in Donja Orahovica.
During his speech, the Bosnian footballer also emphasized that the famous Portuguese strategist had confidently told him earlier that Bosnia and Herzegovina would surely qualify for the next World Cup. He then said that before the match against Italy in Zenica, he also received a message from the Special One.
- Before the match, he sent me a message that really touched me, and I think it will touch you too. He wrote me a message in which he said to remember all those who sacrificed for this country, to remember them on the field, to give our best and win for them - said Dedić, to which there was thunderous applause.
Before an emotional meeting with locals in his father's native village, Dedić was also hosted at a formal reception in the office of Mayor Sadmir Džeba at the Gračanica City Administration.
