Modrić in unexpected Milan defeat becomes oldest debutant in Serie A history

(Patria) - Cremonese players caused a sensation last night in the 1st round of the new season of the Italian championship, defeating AC Milan away at San Siro with a score of 2-1.

The visitors took the lead through Baschirotto in the 28th minute, and in first-half stoppage time, Pavlović equalized to make it 1-1.

However, in the second half, Bonazzoli secured the victory for the team that returned to the top flight this season with a brilliant "bicycle kick" in the 61st minute.

Croatian national team captain Luka Modrić played his debut for Milan until the 74th minute.

Modrić was one of Milan's best players, with three key passes and a 91% pass accuracy.

Also, in his first match, Modrić achieved a record. Namely, at 39 years, 11 months, and 14 days, he became the oldest debutant in Serie A history.

In a match played simultaneously in Rome, Roma defeated Bologna with a minimal 1-0, with a goal from Wesley (53).
