(Patria) - Croatian footballer Luka Modrić is definitely leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Late last night, renowned Spanish journalist Miguel Angelo Diaz announced that Modrić had not received any offer for a contract extension with Real, adding that he could say goodbye to the Madrid club as early as Saturday.
Real confirmed this news through their official channels, but contrary to announcements, Modrić will not be saying goodbye this weekend against Real Sociedad in the last round of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu, but after the Club World Cup which takes place in the USA from June 18.

Modrić joined Real in 2012 and was a key player in one of the Madrid club's most brilliant eras.
In thirteen seasons, he won 28 titles - six Champions Leagues, six Club World Cups, five UEFA Super Cups, four La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey titles, and five Spanish Super Cups.
Furthermore, Modrić is one of only five players in football history to have won the Champions League six times. He is also the player with the most titles in the 123-year history of the Madrid club.
On an individual level, Modrić won the Ballon d'Or and was named UEFA Player of the Year in 2018.
He was also named the best midfielder in the Champions League twice. In total, he made 590 appearances and scored 43 goals for Real.
