Young BiH kickboxers won 18 medals at the European Championship in Italy

(Patria) - The BiH national team won 18 medals, including four gold, six silver, and eight bronze at the European Kickboxing Championship for juniors/cadets and children, held from September 12th to 21st in the Italian city of Lido di Jesolo.

A total of 2,376 competitors from 41 countries participated in this championship, and our national team competed with 43 athletes and won as many as 18 medals, which represents a good result and an indicator of hard work that raises hopes for even better results.



Gold medals, European champions became:

1. David Mudrinić, older cadet, kick light, +69 kg;
2. Jelena Stojanović, younger junior, low kick, -60 kg;
3. Nikolina Cvijetić, younger junior, low kick, +60 kg;
4. Benjamin Čelebić, point fight, -30 kg. in the children's competition.

Silver medals, European vice-champions became:

1. Boris Aleksić, younger junior, K1 style, +81 kg;
2. Sahim Babić, older junior, K1 style, -86 kg;
3. Alem Merdan, older junior, K1 style, -81 kg;
4. Benjamin Ganjgo, younger junior, low kick, -75 kg;
5. Dragan Maksimović, younger junior, low kick, -67 kg;
6. Adelisa Hrnjica, older cadet, kick light -55 kg.



Bronze medals were won by:

1. Adnan Kadić, low kick, -86 kg, older junior;
2. Nikolina Vlaški, low kick, -48 kg, older junior;
3. Denis Ađulović, low kick, -75 kg, older junior;
4. Isa Zildžić, K1 style, -67 kg, younger junior;
5. Imran Botić, K1 style, -54 kg, younger junior;
6. Ali Babić, full contact, -81 kg, younger junior;
7. Mehmed Krupić, light contact, -79 kg, junior;
8. Mensur Razić, kick light, -47 kg, older cadet.

The national team coach is Milan Vitković, the head of the delegation is Salko Zildžić, and the national team coaches are Senad Ćatić, Adnan Redžović, Mustafa Zulić, Igor Grbić, Veldin Halilović, Nikola Đurić, and Bećo Durdžić.
