
(Patria) - Young BiH swimming representative Zerina Vrabac is the new cadet champion of the Mediterranean.
A member of the Sport Time Swimming Club from Sarajevo today dominantly won the gold medal at the Komen Cup in Cyprus in the 100-meter butterfly discipline.
The fourteen-year-old BiH swimmer swam to the brightest medal with a time of 1:01.64, leaving competitors from Italy more than a second behind.
- Zerina Vrabac has today positioned herself on the list of one of the greatest successes in BiH swimming. With the gold medal, she confirmed her status as one of the most talented swimmers of her age and made an excellent announcement for the future period.
We are proud that she justified expectations, confirmed her form, and, most importantly, convinced everyone that we can hope for even greater achievements in the future - said the coach of the Sport Time Swimming Club, Aldin Avdić.
Tomorrow, Zerina Vrabac will have the opportunity to compete for another medal at the Komen Cup in the city of Limassol in the 200-meter butterfly discipline.
BiH colors at Cyprus are also defended by Ajša Gušić, also a member of Sport Time, as well as Tajra Hrvačić (Šarks), Emina Čajić (GKVS), Ajna Huremović (GKVS), Vanja Kvočka (Olimp), Đorđe Tadić (22. april), and Uroš Obradović (22. april).
