(Patria) - Young Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva won the Roland Garros title after defeating Polish qualifier Maja Chwalinska 6:3, 6:2 in the final without major difficulties.
The 19-year-old Russian showed from the first point why she is among the best tennis players in the world. The current eighth-ranked player on the WTA list imposed her rhythm against the world's 114th-ranked player and controlled the events throughout the entire match.
The key moment of the first set came at 3:2, when Andreeva took full initiative and won four consecutive games, taking a 1-0 lead in sets.
In the continuation of the match, the Russian tennis player further raised her level of play. Chwalinska failed to find an answer to her opponent's aggressive and confident game, winning only two games in the second set. Andreeva thus reached her first Grand Slam trophy in her career after an hour and a few minutes of play.
