Miralem Pjanić officially says goodbye to the national team: Bid farewell with thunderous applause

(Patria) - Miralem Pjanić officially said goodbye to the BiH national team today. His son Edin was with him, wearing his father's jersey.

He briefly addressed everyone present, and the fans at Bilino Polje greeted him and bid him farewell with thunderous applause. The fans also had banners thanking Pjanić for his commitment in the national team jersey.

"I had the opportunity to play for my Bosnia and Herzegovina, that was always my greatest joy. Thank you. I love you, and thank you, and I hope that one day my son Edin will also play for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Pjanić.

The captain of the BiH national team, Edin Džeko, hugged Pjanić as he left the field at Bilino Polje.

Although Pjanić has not played for the BiH selection for some time, he decided to make it official today.

The experienced BiH midfielder was presented with a commemorative gift by the president of the BiH FA, Vico Zeljković, and former teammate Emir Spahić: a framed jersey with the number 115.

Pjanić played exactly that many matches for the BiH national team, scoring 17 goals.

The anthems of San Marino and BiH followed, officially marking the start of today's match.
