Minister Pandurević Appointed Two Advisors – a Political Scientist and a Biologist: Sarajevo Canton Costs Over 5,000 KM Monthly

(Patria) - Since March this year, the Prime Minister of KS, ministers in the KS Government, mayors of municipalities in KS, and the Mayor of Sarajevo have the right to engage two advisors each.

Advisors are appointed and dismissed by the public office holder, and after the term of the head expires, the advisor's mandate also ends.

Although this right has not been extensively used so far, or at least the public has not been informed about it, the Mayor of Stari Grad Municipality, Irfan Čengić, has appointed one advisor, and now one of the ministers in the KS Government has also appointed two advisors.

This refers to the Minister of Communal Affairs, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction, and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton, Mladen Pandurević. Incidentally, Pandurević was appointed minister in April, and since July 21st, he has appointed two advisors.

Thus, Mladen Milosavljević, a doctor of biological sciences, and Goran Kapor, a graduate political scientist, have been added to the KS Budget, which is already on the verge of collapse.

Their monthly salary amounts to 2,560 KM each. Their mandate should last until December 1, 2026.

However, given that Minister Pandurević leads one of the most extensive portfolios in the KS Government, it is not entirely clear how a political scientist or a doctor of biological sciences can help him solve communal affairs issues.

Milosavljević was born in 1959. In 2014, he was a candidate for Minister of Education of KS, but at that time, he did not receive the necessary support in the KS Assembly. He also worked in police structures in forensic affairs, as an advisor to the FUP director, and as a professor at several universities.

Since Pandurević became minister, heating and water prices have already increased, and an increase in waste collection fees and funeral services is also expected.
