Minimal victory for Zrinjski against Željezničar in Mostar

(Patria) - Zrinjski defeated Željezničar 1:0 at their stadium in the 18th round of the WWin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The first half brought more excitement, and the home team dominated. Already in the 5th minute, Zrinjski took the lead after Mulahusejnović headed the ball to Pranjić, who scored with a fine shot into the visitors' net. The Plemići continued with pressure, and in the 16th minute, Muftić saved Željezničar from a second goal after an attempt by Mulahusejnović. Just four minutes later, Muftić shone again, this time saving a close-range shot from Pranjić.

In the 37th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Zrinjski after Topić was brought down in the penalty area, but a subsequent review determined he was offside, so the decision was overturned. Before the end of the half, Odinaka had a chance for the visitors, but his shot went wide.

The second half saw better play from Željezničar, who threatened the home team on several occasions. Their best chance to equalize came in the 71st minute when Cvetanoski took advantage of a lapse in the home defense and shot from the second line, but Karačić was secure in goal. In the continuation of the match, Zrinjski lost their initial rhythm and only in the 80th minute did they seriously threaten the visitors' goal for the first time, but Abramović's attempt was an easy catch for Muftić.

Until the end of the match, Željezničar failed to find a way to goal, so Zrinjski preserved their early lead and recorded a minimal but valuable victory.
