MINIMAL WIN Posušje better than Željezničar

(Patria) - As part of the 20th round of the WWin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, HŠK Posušje and FK Željezničar Sarajevo met at the Mokri Dolac stadium in Posušje. The match ended with a 1-0 victory for the home team, with the only goal scored in the second half.

This match was also the first official match for coach Stojanović on the Željezničar bench. The Slovenian coach thus experienced a defeat against Posušje in his first match.

In the first 45 minutes, we watched a mostly even match, with slightly more initiative from the home team in the opening part. Posušje had their first big chance in the 15th minute when Čuić set up Živković, but his shot from about ten meters went wide.

Željezničar tried to reach the home team's goal through counter-attacks and long balls, and Cvetanoski was the most active, crossing from the left and right sides several times, but without concrete effect. The guests had their best chance after a set piece, when Vini tried with a header, but the ball was not accurate.

In the second half, the tempo dropped slightly, and there were no major excitements until the middle of the second half. The key moment occurred after substitutions made by Posušje coach Dario Bašić, which proved to be decisive.

In the 55th minute, Denis Bušnja and Vinko Petković entered the game, and it was these two who orchestrated the winning goal. In the 73rd minute, Bušnja assisted, and Petković found himself best in the penalty area and hit the Željezničar net for 1-0.

The goal was checked by VAR, but was soon confirmed. Until the end of the match, Željezničar tried to equalize, but without serious chances, while Posušje safely preserved their lead. The end of the match brought drama; referee Bilbija checked a penalty for a long time, but in the end decided it was not a penalty. One of the Posušje players touched the ball with his hand, but according to Bilbija, it was not enough for a penalty kick. Immediately after that, Šabić had the best chance, but in the 95th minute, the ball went wide.

In the end, Posušje celebrated a minimal but important victory, while Željezničar, in their first match under the new coach, remains without points on a difficult away trip.
