Milošević still firmly believes the Dragons have a chance in the playoffs

(Patria) - In ten days, the BiH national football team will play the first playoff match for this year's Euro in Germany in Zenica against the Ukrainian national team.

Preparations are scheduled for next Monday in Sarajevo. On this occasion, coach Savo Milošević spoke to Sport magazine.

At the beginning, he said he feels phenomenal as the coach of the BiH national team.

- I love this job, I am involved in it and I feel good. Leading a national team is a very prestigious and important thing. I am someone who was born in BiH and I perceive this national team as partly my own.

So I am very happy to be the coach of this national team. I still feel quite good, regardless of the recent results, but the essence is that it was all preparation for what is to come - says the coach.

He states that he still firmly believes that our national team has potential, i.e., chances in the playoff matches.

- If we do everything correctly, I hope we will be at the European Championship. It is worth the effort and the guys are aware of that - emphasized Milošević.

When it comes to the list of national team players, there were no major surprises.

- My coaching staff and I weighed these decisions a lot. In the end, we decided not to disrupt things too much. There are some changes, but essentially, based on the matches we played, we gained a much clearer picture of the capabilities of all the players.

It is very important that we got to know all the characteristics of all the players, and it would be foolish to make big changes and find ourselves getting to know the players' quality during the match itself - points out Milošević.

Speaking about the form of our players in the past period, he says he is very satisfied.

- We need that form now for the playoffs. It's good that they are playing, that they are in competitive form. Most of the guys are playing. My only concern is that everyone arrives healthy - he added.

Asked how to oppose the Ukrainian national team, he answers:

"Currently, the situation in Ukraine is what it is. My thinking is to try to focus only on what will happen on the field.

The situation and problems in Ukraine are their problems. We should not be concerned with the refereeing, nothing beyond what we need to do on the field. I don't think Ukraine is much superior to us in individual quality.

Many things are resolved as a team, with tactics. The guys must understand that they have to solve problems as a team."
