Microsoft once again the most valuable company in the world

(Patria) - After a brief stay at the top, NVIDIA has handed over the title of the most valuable company to Microsoft, after the price of its shares fell by 3.5 percent.

The chip and graphics card giant briefly reached the top mid-this week with a market value of 3.34 trillion dollars.

However, NVIDIA's shares fell to 130.78 dollars, bringing the company's value down to 3.22 trillion dollars, allowing Microsoft to regain the title with a value of 3.3 trillion dollars.

NVIDIA dominates the chip market, especially those that power artificial intelligence, which analysts call the "new gold" or "oil" of the technology sector.

A close race is underway between Microsoft, Apple, and NVIDIA, which are also the only three companies with a value exceeding three trillion dollars.

Although NVIDIA held the title of the most valuable company for several days, analysts predict that the competition between the three giants will last a long time.

"We believe that over the next year, the race for a market valuation of four trillion dollars will be between NVIDIA, Apple, and Microsoft," states Wedbush Securities.

The value of NVIDIA's shares has exploded thanks to increased demand for chips that power generative artificial intelligence.
