Marko Marić new sports director of Željezničar

(Patria) - Marko Marić has been appointed as the new sports director of Football Club (FK) Željezničar.

Marić comes to Željo with the task of establishing a modern, professional, and long-term sustainable model that will connect the Youth Academy, academy, future B team, and the first team into one clear football philosophy.

The development of young players and their integration into senior football will become one of the foundations of the club's future, as announced by Željo.

At the same time, they add, the priority will always be a strong and competitive first team capable of continuously fighting for trophies, titles, and European results.

Željezničar plans a complete modernization of the Youth Academy, development of a training camp, medical and recovery centers, as well as a complete transformation of the club's scouting strategy.

One of the key goals of the new sports sector will be the significant expansion of the international scouting network through strategic partnerships and presence in markets and locations around the world that traditionally produce the greatest football talents.

Marić brings with him an energetic and highly experienced professional team composed of coaches, scouts, analysts, and other professionals with proven results in developing young talents and their careful integration through all stages of development, from the academy and B team to the first team.

An equally important part of the project will be the development of domestic professional staff and the affirmation of local talent so that Željezničar can create its own base of top professionals and a modern sporting identity in the long term.
