Manchester City undefeated at home for 30 consecutive Champions League matches

(Patria) - Manchester City scored six goals in two matches of the Champions League round of 16 against Copenhagen, thus continuing their miraculous streak in the competition where they are defending the title.

Pep Guardiola's team was once again better than the Danish representative last night with a 3-1 victory, securing a place among the top eight in Europe's premier competition.

In doing so, City also broke a record – last night's victory was their 12th consecutive at home in the Champions League, writes Arena Sport.

Even more impressive is that they are undefeated in their last 30 home matches (28 wins and two draws) in that competition.

City thus became only the second team in the competition's history with a streak of 30 consecutive undefeated home matches.

The record still belongs to Barcelona. The Catalan club was unbeaten at home in the Champions League for 38 consecutive matches, from September 2013 to November 2020.

While that record still belongs to Barça, the "Citizens" can boast one of their own.

With last night's match, the English champions became the first club in the competition to score at least three goals in nine consecutive home games.
