Luka Modrić played his last match at the Bernabéu

(Patria) - Legendary Luka Modrić played his last match at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

"The Royal Club" celebrated against Real Sociedad with a score of 2:0, and the scorer of both goals was Kylian Mbappé.

Towards the end of the match, coach Carlo Ancelotti decided to take Modrić off the field so that the audience could pay tribute to his long-standing dedication to the club.

Players from both teams formed a guard of honour, and Modrić lingered on the pitch longer, greeting players and fans. Emotions were high, and many in the stands could not hide their tears as the Croatian midfielder left the field, symbolically closing his chapter at Real Madrid.

After the final whistle, Luka Modrić was joined on the pitch by his family - wife Vanja and children Ivano, Ema, and Sofia. When he hugged them, Modrić too could not hold back his tears, and Ema experienced it all most emotionally, unable to stop crying as she hugged her father.
