(Patria) - Rasim Ljajić, leader of the SDP of Serbia, will not attend the meeting of Bosniaks for which the president of NiP, Elmedin Konaković, issued an invitation
“I am a Bosniak, but I am not only a Bosniak politician. Members of the majority people, as well as various minority communities living in Serbia, vote for me and my party. After all, I am the president of a civic party in which the individual is at the center of political life, not any collectivity.
I cannot, because of one meeting, reduce myself to articulating the interests of only one ethnic entity, even if it is the one to which I myself belong. That is why I will not attend that meeting. The Sandžak Democratic Party from Novi Pazar will probably have its representative, as I have been informed,” Ljajić stated for Istraga.ba.
During the day, several other parties that Konaković invited refused to come to the meeting.
