Nations League: Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Hungary tonight

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team continues its Nations League campaign today with a match against Hungary in the 4th round of Group 3 in League A. The match will be played at Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica at 20:45, and you can follow the live broadcast on BHRT.

Coach Sergej Barbarez and defender Nikola Katić showed at yesterday's press conference that they are aware that on paper, the match against Hungary is our best chance for a win in this Nations League, which would ultimately bring a possible third place.

Bosnia and Herzegovina have faced Hungary five times so far. Two matches were friendlies, and three were official. Hungary has won twice, while three matches ended in draws.

The first two meetings between these teams were friendlies. At the Albert Flórián Stadium in Budapest on March 10, 1999, the match ended 1-1. Bosnia and Herzegovina took the lead with a goal by Meho Kodro in the 39th minute, and Hungary equalised with a penalty goal by Béla Illés in the 65th minute.

The second match, played at Bilino Polje in Zenica on February 28, 2001, also ended with the same score. Ferenc Horváth scored in the 13th minute to give Hungary the lead, and the final result was set by our current national team coach, Sergej Barbarez, in the 22nd minute.

In the qualifiers for EURO 2008, Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted Hungary at Bilino Polje on September 6, 2006. The visitors won 1-3. Zvjezdan Misimović scored the only goal for the Dragons from a penalty in the 64th minute, while for Hungary, Szabolcs Huszti scored from a penalty in the 36th minute, Zoltán Gera in the 46th, and Pál Dárdai in the 49th.

The return match was played at the Sóstói Stadium in Székesfehérvár on September 8, 2006, when Hungary won 1-0 with a goal by Zoltán Gera from a penalty in the 39th minute.

Bosnia and Herzegovina faced Hungary in the UEFA Nations League A at the Puskás Aréna on September 10 this year, and that match ended 0-0.

The main referee for tonight's match will be Anthony Taylor from England.
