Lejla Njemčević first on the world UCI marathon ranking list

(Patria) - Bosnia's best cyclist and European vice-champion Lejla Njemčević has regained first place on the World UCI marathon ranking list after the latest points update.

Before the European Championship in Denmark, our competitor held second place on the World ranking list, but after the points from the European Championship were added, she regained first place. Lejla Njemčević leads the World ranking list with 1,340 UCI points, in second place is Vera Looser with 1,300 points, while Rosa Van Doorn is in third place with 1,050 points.

Njemčević's next competition is the World Championship in Snowshoe, USA, which takes place on September 22 on a 104-kilometer course with 2,200 meters of elevation gain.

The World Championship course is already familiar to our competitor, as she lifted the trophy for the overall winner of the World Series on the same course last season.
