
(Patria) - Bosnia's top cyclist Lejla Njemčević, currently ranked first in the world UCI marathon ranking, has secured a convincing victory at the XCO C1 race in Croatia.
Njemčević won with an excellent ride, finishing ahead of Hungarian competitor Csenge Anna Bokros by more than 3 minutes, earning 60 new UCI points. Our competitor is currently preparing for the first Marathon World Cup in the Czech Republic, which takes place in less than a month.
„The race in Vodice was planned as part of the preparatory races for the first World Cup in Nove Mesto na Morave in the Czech Republic, where I won last year. We are currently in the final phase of preparation, so every weekend I race to adjust the new bike and work on small details. I am in great shape and entering the new season with high confidence to defend the title of overall winner of the UCI World Cup“, said Lejla Njemčević.
Before the World Cup, Bosnia's top cyclist will compete in another preparatory race in Italy next week.
