(Patria) - Bosnia's top judoka Larisa Cerić was defeated in the repechage by Kim Ha-yun of South Korea and failed to qualify for the bronze medal match.
With this loss, Cerić ended her performance at the Olympic Games, where she left a very good impression and was one match away from a medal fight.
Cerić first stepped onto the mat this morning and in her opening bout managed to defeat judoka Sydnee Andrews without major problems, winning by ippon.
The Bosnian judoka thus advanced to the second round, where she faced Rochele Nunes of Portugal, who eventually withdrew due to injury, allowing Cerić to move on to the third round.
In the quarterfinal match, our representative faced a tough task as she was up against local competitor Romane Dicko, who managed to defeat Cerić in a short time.
