Lana Pudar brings European silver from Belgrade to Mostar

(Patria) - BiH's top swimmer Lana Pudar landed in Mostar by plane today, bringing with her the silver medal she won yesterday in the 200-meter butterfly discipline at the European Championships in Belgrade.

Pudar said that she traveled to the championship after very difficult preparations with the team, without excessive expectations for any particularly good result.

However, she adds that she is glad she managed to win a silver medal and maintain continuity of good results at major competitions.

- Now, the preparations continue for the most important event, the Olympic Games. Now the full focus and work on speed begins, to be as good as possible in Paris - said Pudar.

Her coach Damir Đedović says it is nice to finally land in his city and be welcomed.

- Regarding the competition itself, we came to it from preparations in Spain, we wanted to see what Lana could do at this moment when she is not training for results.

You saw everything. Lana managed to perform an excellent race even in this condition and win the 20th jubilee medal from major competitions - stated Đedović.

He also says that Lana, at 18 years old, has achieved something that has not been recorded in this region so far.

- What makes me happiest is that this is still the beginning of everything that can and is planned to be achieved - Đedović said.

They have a few days of stay in Mostar ahead of them, after which they will go for final preparations in Turkey.

- We will be in an indoor camp there, from where we will go directly to Paris for the Olympic Games. Lana will prepare as best as she can.

All of us around her will give our best, and our goal is for Lana to be as ready as possible for the Olympic Games - Đedović stated.
