Brief storm in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Tree falls in Grbavica, another damages vehicle near Railway Station

(Patria) - A brief storm hit Bosnia and Herzegovina today. Strong winds toppled trees, with such incidents recorded in Visoko and Sarajevo.

In Sarajevo's Grbavica neighborhood, on Hasana Brkića Street, a large tree fell onto the pedestrian path. A tree also collapsed at the taxi stand near the Railway Station, causing material damage to one car.

In downtown Sarajevo, a facade collapsed on Zelene beretke Street, damaging one vehicle.

Unstable and changeable weather will persist in the coming days. Local showers are likely every day. Less precipitation is forecast for Tuesday, while on Wednesday expected precipitation locally exceeds 50 mm. More pronounced precipitation is expected in the south and west of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the second part of the week, the south of the country will see slightly more sunshine compared to the rest of the country, warmer but not entirely stable. Wind predominantly from the south and southeast. Air temperatures during the week will be fairly uniform. Minimum temperatures will mostly vary between 10°C and 16°C in Bosnia, and from 16°C to 19°C in Herzegovina. Maximum daily temperatures between 20°C and 25°C in most of Bosnia, and up to 27°C in Herzegovina and Posavina.

In the second week of June, according to current synoptic charts, more sunny intervals are expected, slightly cooler but not completely stable. Midweek, brief local showers are possible, especially in the north and central areas. Morning temperatures will mostly vary between 13°C and 17°C in Bosnia, up to 20°C in Herzegovina, with maximum daily temperatures between 18°C and 23°C in Bosnia, up to 25°C in Herzegovina.
