Kosovo: Turkish KFOR member died in his sleep

(Patria) - A Turkish soldier, employed in the KFOR mission in Kosovo, died yesterday in his sleep. The exact cause of his death is yet to be determined, KFOR announced.

"Through daily service, he contributed to KFOR's ongoing efforts to establish lasting security in Kosovo. His dedication to the mission will always be remembered and respected. The family of the deceased soldier has been notified," KFOR stated.

KFOR Commander, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased soldier.

- I express my sincere condolences for this tragic loss. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased soldier. His loss is felt throughout the KFOR community. We will honor him through our unwavering commitment to the KFOR mission - Ulutaş said.
