Basketball Dragons begin preparations for Cyprus match in Tuzla

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team gathered in Tuzla and held a training session on the Mejdan court at the start of preparations for matches against Cyprus and France.

Coach Adis Bećiragić currently has the following players at his disposal: Miralem Halilović, Xavier Castaneda, Edin Atić, Kenan Kamenjaš, Ajdin Penava, Asim Gutić, Vojin Ilić, Ismet Sejfić, Fahrudin Manjgafić, Adin Vrabac, Adnan Arslanagić, Aleksandar Lazić and Jasmin Jakupović.

The arrival of Džanan Musa and Amar Alibegović is expected later, while Haris Delalić and Sani Čampara will not join the preparations due to injuries.

- We are playing against Cyprus, for whom many will say they are underdogs, but those matches always carry a trap if not approached with maximum seriousness, especially considering their three-point shooting percentage.

They were tied for a long time in the match against France, and we also had problems in the first 15 minutes of the match against Cyprus. The most important thing, therefore, is to be mentally ready for the match and, of course, to win - says Bećiragić.

The EuroBasket 2025 qualifier between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cyprus will be played on Friday at 8 PM.
