Basketball players suffer defeat against Spain, match against Italy on Sunday

(Patria) - The basketball national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina suffered a defeat in tonight's match against Spain (67:88).

BiH was powerless against the current European champions, who managed to recover after a shocking defeat in the first round against Georgia (83:69) and record a very important victory.

BiH started the match well and played very aggressive defense against the Spaniards, who did not play much in the first three or four minutes, and our basketball players were mostly leading.

In the second quarter, the offensive crisis in BiH's game continued, as they struggled for every single point, and Spain's lead only grew during that time.

Spain reached a 35:20 lead, and BiH scored their first three-pointer only at the end of the second quarter.

On the other hand, the ball was going well for the Spaniards tonight, so they were scoring three-pointers without much trouble, and at the end of the third quarter, the score was 72:47.

Aldama was the best with 19 points, Willy Hernangomez scored 16, and Brizuela scored 15. For BiH, the top player was Kamenjaš with 14 points, who was also the only player in double digits on our team. He also had 10 rebounds for a double-double.
