Bosnia's basketball players optimistically await Slovenia's Ilirija

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Bosnia basketball players are preparing for the first game of the ABA 2 League final series.

The Students' opponent is Ilirija from Slovenia, and Aleksandar Damjanović's players are optimistic ahead of the duel, which is scheduled for April 30 in the "Mirza Delibašić" hall in Sarajevo.

Bosnia eliminated Vojvodina 2-0 in the series in the semi-finals, and Ilirija achieved the same result against Zlatibor, writes N1.

This is the game of the season for the Sarajevo Students, who have the opportunity to bring the regional basketball league title to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player in Bosnia's jersey, Haris Delalić, assures that they are ready for Ilirija.

- You don't have that many finals in your career. We are honored to be in the final. That was the plan, I'm glad we managed to justify everything.

Finals as finals are always interesting. It will be two games, let's not have a third, we have home court in Skenderija, where we must not let it slip away. I believe the atmosphere will be like against Vojvodina - points out Delalić.

The mood is excellent due to Bosnia's excellent performances recently - points out Students' player Jure Zubac.

- Ilirija is a very good team. A demanding game awaits us. They play modern and fast basketball. We have to play tough and we hope there will be no problems. The audience is golden for us. It's a pleasure to play in front of a full Skenderija - says Zubac.

Member of the professional staff, Muhamed Pašalić, believes that the Students can win the trophy.

- Thank God that this final has come. I think, deservedly. Expectations are to win the ABA 2 League. We believe in each other and we are working well. We hope for a win and a full hall - added Pašalić.
