KK Bosna BH Telecom Routinely Defeated Spartak from Subotica in Zetra

(Patria) - The basketball players of Bosna BH Telecom continued their impressive streak in front of their home crowd. In the Olympic Hall Zetra, the Students deservedly celebrated tonight against the Spartak team from Subotica with a score of 72:57, with complete control of the game from the first to the last minute.

Bosna entered the match extremely focused, aggressive, and mentally stable. An opening 7:0 run immediately signaled the dominance of the home team, while energetic defense forced the guests into a series of poor attacks and forced solutions. A motivated Kovačević and Delalić opened the match at a high pace, while Young and Audige brought additional security in one-on-one play.
Spartak tried to respond through Kennedy and Thompson, but Bosna was more organized and faster in both directions. The first quarter ended with the Students leading – 21:16.

The second quarter opened with an attractive tandem of Young–Kovačević, after which Joesaar hit a three-pointer from the center position. Bosna's mini-run forced the guests into another timeout, but Spartak couldn't find an answer. Poor realization from the free-throw line and transition errors further eased the home team's task. The teams went into halftime with a score of 38:30, with the impression that Bosna still had room to increase the pace.

The third quarter – traditionally the most uncertain for Bosna – started nervously. Several missed layups and quick fouls allowed Spartak to get within 6 points. But then came the crucial surge: Petar Kovačević's phenomenal energy, his three-pointer, and Audige's fast break brought a new double-digit lead. With excellent minutes from Delalić and the fighting spirit of young Zubac, Bosna finished the third quarter with a score of 57:46.

In the last ten minutes, the home team played maturely and controlled the game. Edin Atić took over the rhythm of the game, created advantages in offense, and calmed the game whenever necessary. Young's three-pointer for a +19 lead was the final confirmation of the victory. The crowd applauded Đoko Šalić after his fifth foul, while Bosna's defense became increasingly compact as the game neared its end. Spartak lacked both rhythm and energy for a comeback in the final minutes.

Bosna routinely brought the game to an end and celebrated with a 72:57 victory, conceding only ten points in the last quarter – a clear testament to a serious and solid defense.

The most effective player for Bosna was Petar Kovačević with 16 points (5/6 shooting), along with 4 rebounds. Chase Audige and Michael Young scored 10 points each, while Edin Atić added 9 and played maturely in crucial moments. Jarrod West recorded 7 points and 6 assists, with his usual control of the game.

For Spartak, Sean Thompson stood out with 10 points (5/7) and 6 rebounds, as did Olivier Hanlan with also 10 points, but with poor three-point shooting (0/3). Kennedy added 9 points, with a poor field goal percentage (3/10).
