(Patria) - Kerim Alajbegović today said goodbye to the fans of Salzburg, the club where he delivered notable performances this season.
- Hello dear Salzburg fans. The time has come for us to say goodbye. I thank the club for their complete trust and I truly enjoyed being on the field. I was welcomed very warmly and I thank the club for enabling me to develop so well. I wish the club all the best in the future - Alajbegović said.
Alajbegović arrived in Salzburg at the beginning of this season from Bayer Leverkusen for two million euros, and after scoring 12 goals and providing four assists in 43 appearances, the German club decided to activate the buy-out clause and bring him back for eight million euros.
However, according to media reports, Alajbegović will likely not wear Bayer's jersey next season, as the German club plans to sell him to Italian club Roma.
