(Patria) - The best Bosnian karateka Nejra Sipović achieved the greatest success of her career by winning the prestigious Grand Winner 2026 title in the senior women's category up to 55 kilograms at the Karate 1 Premier League finals held in Rabat.
With this result, Sipović finished the season as the highest-ranked competitor in the world in her category, thus writing a new page in the history of Bosnian sport.
The Grand Winner title represents one of the most prestigious recognitions in world karate, awarded to the competitor who earns the most points at Karate 1 Premier League tournaments throughout the season.
This is an elite competition under the auspices of the World Karate Federation (WKF), featuring only the best male and female karatekas on the planet.
Nejra Sipović became the first representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the entire region, to win this prestigious recognition.
Dream season
Sipović built her path to the title of best in the world with impressive results throughout 2026.
She particularly stood out at the Premier League in Rome, where she won a gold medal and achieved one of the greatest successes of her career so far.
She continued her excellent form in China, winning a bronze medal at the Premier League tournament in Leshan.
The series of top results was rounded off with a bronze medal at the European Senior Championships in Frankfurt, confirming that she belongs at the very top of world karate.
