Sarajevo Juniors Eliminate Macedonians, Next Opponent is Israeli Team

(Patria) - FK Sarajevo juniors defeated their peers from Macedonian Brera Strumica tonight at Košev, in the return leg of the first round of qualifications for the Youth Champions League.

The first match ended 2:2, and tonight at Košev, the maroon team celebrated with a 2:0 victory, thus advancing, writes Faktor.ba.

Sarajevo showed more in the first half, Hamzić hit the post twice, but the nets remained still.

Mehmedspahić and Tiro also threatened, but it wasn't enough to shake the net of the club from Macedonia.

The hosts took the lead immediately in the second half. The agile Hamzić delivered from a corner, and Sergej Ignatkov was the best in the air, scoring for 1:0.

Ristov made things easier for Sarajevo by receiving a second yellow, i.e., a red card, and had to leave the field.

Harun Pločo could have sealed the deal in the 75th minute, but the guests blocked him at the last moment.

In the 78th minute, Bajrović had a chance for 2:0, but the guests defended that as well.

Three minutes later, the brilliant Hamzić scored for 2:0, and everything was decided.

Sarajevo thus advances and will face the Israeli team Maccabi Petah Tikva in the second round of qualifications. Both matches will be played in our country.
