(Patria) - Jose Mourinho is the new coach of Fenerbahçe. The legendary Portuguese has agreed on a two-year collaboration with the Istanbul giant and will be officially presented in the coming days. Major reinforcements are expected to come with him, and presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim has revealed certain names.

To the surprise of many, Jose Mourinho continues his coaching career in Turkey. He accepted Fenerbahçe's invitation and will try to bring this team the Turkish championship title, which they have been waiting for since 2014.

The man who was the head of Fener for two decades has decided to return to the club after six years away. He will be a rival candidate to Ali Koç for the presidential seat, and he is responsible for Mourinho's arrival in Istanbul.

Yildirim announced that the club will not stop there. The Portuguese will get the players he wants.

"We want him to do with Fenerbahçe what he did with Porto. We will sign the players he wants," said Yildirim and announced some names that could wear the blue-yellow jersey.

"I will tell you some names. Mourinho wants Romelu Lukaku, Paulo Dybala, Talisca, and Sorloth... Let him finish two of them, we will take care of the rest when we take over the club," Yildirim stated.

Media in Turkey claim that the budget for reinforcements is as much as 100 million euros. This could mean that famous football names will land in Istanbul again, as was the case in the previous season.

Fenerbahçe did everything to finally win the championship title. Edin Džeko arrived, then Dušan Tadić, Fred, Dominik Livaković, and numerous other footballers, but in the end, the biggest rival Galatasaray once again finished at the top of the table.

The 71-year-old Yildirim obviously wants to do great things in his new term, and under his leadership, the club had exceptional successes.

Fener managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, the semi-finals of the Europa League, and they won the Super League six times. Now he claims he is ready to work like never before.

"I am returning rested and ready. The club needs peace, not a president who persistently claims that someone is not letting him be champion," said Yildirim, and with these words, he expressed what he thinks about Ali Koç.
