Football Association of Sarajevo Canton Election Assembly scheduled for December 16

(Patria) - The Football Association of Sarajevo Canton (FS KS) has scheduled a session of the regular Election Assembly of the Football Association of the Canton, which will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the premises of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting at 6:00 PM.

The invitation to the Assembly with the agenda will be delivered to the members of the FS KS Assembly within the period stipulated by the Statute. At the Election Assembly of the Football Association of Sarajevo Canton, elections will be held for the bodies and committees of football organizations, namely the Football Association of Sarajevo Canton, the Football Federation of the Federation of BiH, and the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for a mandate of 4 (four) years.

"Statements by the Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, Kenan Magoda, published today by the portals avaz.ba and klix.ba, once again confirm the interference of politics in the work of the Football Association of Sarajevo Canton, which is why the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was suspended in the not-so-distant past by FIFA and UEFA, and provisional administration was introduced.

The Football Association of Sarajevo Canton, which has been exposed to political pressures for a long time, will not succumb to them and will not allow politics to interfere in sports, which is strictly prohibited by the statutes of the football associations of NS/FS BiH, FIFA, and UEFA.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton should resolve all open issues, including any objections, with the legal structures of FS KS, and not support parallel structures and the extra-institutional activities of certain actors.
The Football Association of Sarajevo Canton, as before, remains open to all suggestions and well-intentioned remarks, especially from the Minister and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, who should help promote football and respect the regulations of the football associations of NS/FS BiH, FIFA, and UEFA.
