
(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's best para-swimmer Ismail Barlov concluded his participation at the World Series meet in Linjan by winning another bronze medal and setting a new national record.
The World Series in para-swimming in Italy concluded with the final races last night. Barlov qualified for the final and won a bronze medal in the 50-meter butterfly discipline in the junior category.
After winning a medal in the 50-meter breaststroke in the senior competition on Friday, the second day of the event, this was Barlov's second medal at this competition. Thus, he completed his collection of accolades won at all competitions he participated in around the world.
"We are proud of our boys who prove from competition to competition that they belong at the very top of world para-swimming. They prove that they are worth investing in and that they represent our country in the best possible light," stated the SPID Swimming Club.
In addition to Ismail Barlov, Alishan Omerbašić also represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in Linjan. This was his debut at the World Series.
The BiH team competed under the leadership of coach Amel Kapa, among 394 competitors from 40 countries worldwide.
