(Patria) - Tehran has once again warned neighbouring countries not to put their territories at the disposal of potential US military operations against Iran.
"Countries in the region should respect the principle of good neighbourly relations and not use their territories for aggressive actions against Iran," the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement yesterday.
The statement was issued after the US attacked radar installations in the Sirik region and on Qeshm Island in southern Iran in the early hours of Saturday.
"That attack was a clear violation of the April 2026 ceasefire and a military aggression against Iran's territorial integrity," the Ministry added.
Iran has called on the UN Security Council to respond to what it called "an obvious violation of the ceasefire" and "illegal actions by the US," which it claims threaten regional and international peace.
Israel and the United States attacked Iran three months ago. The ceasefire has been formally in effect since April 8. However, despite this, mutual attacks continue.
The US military said it intercepted several Iranian missiles fired towards the Gulf states of Kuwait and Bahrain, US allies, on Friday.
According to earlier reports, the US military also intercepted four Iranian drones in the area of the Strait of Hormuz, and then attacked radar stations in Iran on Qeshm Island and in the city of Goruk.
