Kylian Mbappé Hospitalized

(Patria) - French footballer Kylian Mbappé has been hospitalized due to acute gastroenteritis and is being kept for further testing.

In other words, Mbappé has a stomach flu, and this information was officially announced by his club, Real Madrid.

"Our player Kylian Mbappé has acute gastroenteritis and has been hospitalized for further testing and treatment," the statement read.

Real and Mbappé are currently in the USA, where they drew with Al Hilal in the first round of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Mbappé was not part of that match due to injury, or rather illness, and now the exact nature of it has been revealed.

Real's next match is scheduled for Sunday evening against Pachuca, but it is highly questionable whether the Frenchman will be ready for that duel.
