Georgia Celebrates in Cazin Too - BiH Handball Players Only Left in the Game by Theory

(Patria) - In the fourth round of qualifications for the European Handball Championship within group 3, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted Georgia in Cazin, and the guests celebrated with a score of 22:20, thus moving our national team miles away from the European Championship, writes Sportsport.ba

It started evenly. We took a 1:0 lead, the Georgians came back, and that's how it went until the 13th minute.

In the middle of the first half, Georgia made a two-goal run and took the lead for the first time in the match.

After that, our team came back, but there were many technical errors on both sides.

In the last five minutes of the first half, Georgia made a 3:0 run and went into halftime with a two-goal lead, 12:10.

The Georgians opened the second half with a goal and went up by 3, after which our team responded, Hadžić reduced the deficit to one goal, 12:13, in the 35th minute.

However, two consecutive mistakes by us, Georgian counter-attacks, and Georgia quickly regained a 3-goal lead (12:15).

In the middle of the second half, in the 45th minute, at the moment when the game was being decided, the scoreboard showed 17:13, a significant +4 for Georgia at that moment.

Iceland leads the group with eight points, Georgia has four, Greece and BiH have two points each. In the next two rounds, our team needs a positive outcome (draw or win) against handball powerhouse Iceland at home and a victory away against Greece if we want to reach the EURO, and given how we are playing, that is truly, truly difficult.
