(Patria) - Citizens of the BiH entity of Republika Srpska will pay 10 percent more for electricity starting today, while businesses will see their bills increase by six percent starting this month.
The increase in network fees was announced in December last year by the Regulatory Commission for Energy of RS (RERs), and will be applied in the period from 2026-2028.
“The prices will be applied from February 1, i.e., from the bills that consumers will receive in March,” Vladislav Vladičić, president of RERs, previously told Capital.
Otherwise, distribution companies within Elektroprivreda RS, i.e., Distribution System Operators (ODS), requested a network fee increase of as much as 46 percent, but in the end, an increase of 20 percent was approved.
Also, in addition to the request for a higher network fee price, ERs also requested a 20 percent increase in electricity prices, but after public dissatisfaction, this was abandoned, at least for now.
