Headache for Barbarez: Ivan Šunjić injured

(Patria) - Our country's national football team will have another training session today ahead of the friendly duel with North Macedonia on May 29.

Selector Sergej Barbarez has a new headache because midfielder Ivan Šunjić is not in the training process.

"Ivan Šunjić is currently not in the training process of the A national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to a muscle injury. The medical team of our national team will monitor his condition and further recovery in the coming days.

The national team players of Bosnia and Herzegovina continue their preparations for the upcoming friendly matches and participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026," stated the BiH FA.

Šunjić plays in Cyprus, and if he is not ready, Barbarez will call up one of the players from the wider list he announced before the gathering.
