(Patria) - The Italian national team defeated France last night at the Parc des Princes in Paris with a score of 3:1, as part of the first round of Group 2 of the top tier of the Nations League.
France took the lead after just 13 seconds of play, thanks to Bradley Barcola, who took the ball from the careless Italian Giovanni di Lorenzo and quickly advanced towards the goal.
Although he could have passed to captain Kylian Mbappé in the middle, Barcola decided to finish the action himself and successfully beat goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, giving France an early lead.
Incidentally, it was the fastest goal in the history of the Nations League, writes Sportklub.hr.
The Italians equalized in the 30th minute, when Federico Dimarco scored a beautiful volley goal. Thus, the teams went into halftime with a 1:1 score.
However, in the 51st minute, Italy achieved a complete turnaround. Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi scored for 2:1.
Confirmation of the visitors' victory came in the 74th minute when Giacomo Raspadori scored for 3:1.
