(Patria) - Football Club Sarajevo issued an official statement after Sarajevo fans were banned from attending the match in Široki Brijeg.
Sarajevo is visiting Široki on Pecara on Monday as part of the ninth round of the Premier League of BiH, and the Ministry of Interior of the West Herzegovina Canton has banned Sarajevo fans, Hordama zla, from attending the match.
"FK Sarajevo is surprised and disappointed by the decision not to allow our fans to attend the match against Široki Brijeg.
It is shameful that competent institutions publicly announce that they cannot guarantee the safety of anyone, in any part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We hereby call for the decision to ban fans from attending to be re-examined, and for all competent institutions in BiH to get involved in resolving this and similar situations, because we cannot accept the fact that freedom of movement is practically abolished in 2024 as normal.
Football is played for the fans, who must be provided with the opportunity to support their clubs in all stadiums in Bosnia and Herzegovina," the statement from the Koševo club reads.
