(Patria) - Football Club (FK) Sarajevo expressed its disapproval today with a statement regarding the announcement of a concert by BiH singer Dino Merlin on July 31st at the Koševo stadium.
FK Sarajevo emphasizes that this concert would render the largest stadium in Bosnia and Herzegovina unusable from July 24th to August 4th.
"This period coincides with the period of European competitions which are of great importance to the club - both in terms of sports and results, as well as in the context of financial stability and the club's long-term positioning on the European stage," FK Sarajevo points out.
They remind that qualification matches are played on July 9th and 16th, then on July 23rd and 30th, and on August 6th and 13th.
"We support big concerts at Koševo, but not during the most important matches, as such events affect the quality of the pitch and playing conditions.
FK Sarajevo remains open to dialogue, but clearly states that protecting the club's interests must be a priority.
Koševo is not just a stadium, it is the home of FK Sarajevo. On European nights - it belongs to football," the club stated.
