(Patria) – Football Club Sarajevo paid tribute to the legendary singer and loyal fan Halid Bešlić, deciding that the western stand of the "Asim Ferhatović Hase" stadium will bear his name from today.
In a touching message released by the club, they stated that Halid was not just an artist, but a symbol of love for his homeland, city, and club.
“On behalf of all fans of Football Club Sarajevo, employees and players, and the Board of Directors, we express our deep gratitude for everything you have given to our homeland, this city, and our club – not only through your songs, but through your life, character, and the love you have shared with all of us for years. Therefore, from today, the western stand bears your name, so that it is known and remembered, so that every song and every cheer from it is also your voice. Thank you, Halid, for being ours. This stand, this club, and this city will remember you forever. May your soul rest in peace,” the FK Sarajevo announcement stated.
