Famos from Vojkovići eliminates Posušje from the BiH Cup after penalties

(Patria) - In the first match of today's round of 16 program of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup in Vojkovići, Famos and Posušje faced off.

Posušje was the absolute favorite, but we saw an uncertain match on a difficult pitch. It was 0:0 after 90 minutes, and with better penalty taking, they celebrated 4:2 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Cup.

The first threat for the guests came from Kobiljar, and then Mulalić, but it remained 0:0. The guests had possession and more of the game, and Kobiljar's shot in the 17th minute was saved by goalkeeper Vasilj.

Agile Kobiljar threatened again in the 35th minute, but once again Famos goalkeeper Vasilj was excellent. In the 40th minute, Živković shot, and the home team was saved by the post.

Just as the second half began, luck was again on Famos' side. This time Kamenar hit the post. The home team could have punished Posušje's misses in the 56th minute. Šarić crossed, Alić headed, and the ball hit the crossbar.

In the 66th minute, a nice action by Posušje, Mujan to Kamenar, and then Živković shot, but again Vasilj was excellent. After that, Kamenar threatened with a header, going past Famos' goal.

In the 90th minute, a big chance for Famos, but Soldo saved the guests and the ball went to a corner. It remained 0:0 and we watched penalties. It should be noted that the home coach Darko Vojvodić replaced the goalkeeper before the penalties, sending Danijel Stijepić onto the field instead of Vasilj.

At the start, everyone scored, and then Stijepić saved Kamenar's shot. Then Begić shot over the goal, and Posušje was in a difficult situation, with the home team leading 3:1. In the end, they celebrated 4:2 and advanced further in the BiH Cup, which is a great success for this club.
